Nizar Ladak is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in Federal and Provincial Government agencies and non-profit organizations. His passion is finding innovative solutions to operational problems. He has an industry-wide reputation for leading complex projects involving numerous stakeholder groups and maintaining superior working relationships. At Compute Ontario, Mr. Ladak leads a team that brings together scientific, technical, and policy-making communities using big data on advanced research computers (supercomputers). Prior to this role, Mr. Ladak was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Health Quality Ontario, Vice President and Chief Information Officer of North York General Hospital and Senior Director of the Central East Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) and Director of the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In 2019, Mr. Ladak was selected as one of Canada’s Top 25 Immigrants by the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Canadian Immigrant magazine. Mr. Ladak has a Master of Education degree and has completed Executive Leadership Programs at the Rotman Graduate School of Business, Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, and Harvard Business School. Mr. Ladak has delivered over 700 presentations, including reports and publications. He gives back to his professional communities by serving on numerous Boards of Directors and mentoring young professionals.
