CEO, Structura Biology
Ali Punjani is CEO of Structura Biotechnology Inc, a Toronto startup working at the intersection of computer science and biology, specifically on a revolutionary Nobel-prize winning structural biology technique called cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). Structura’s algorithms and software tools are used by thousands of scientists globally to solve 3D atomic resolution structures of proteins, complexes and viruses, as part of the drug discovery process. Ali is completing his PhD at the University of Toronto/Vector AI in machine learning and computer vision. He completed his MS at UC Berkeley where he worked on machine learning in robotics, and BASc in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto.
